Put on your hard hat

pull out your sludge hammer

pound the devil down

Psalm 45:7 Romans 12:9

Fight The Good Fight of Faith

As I was traveling to and fro, from place to place, from city to city, from state to state, from nation to nation. I noticed something I never remember noticing before. No matter where you go or how one travels weather by car, bus, train, plane or ship. You will always see some type of construction.

The construction may be for a new road, a new bridge, a new housing development, new buildings or even a new huge skyscraper whatever it may be that's being built-there are usually signs up with various warnings or construction codes. One such code requires warning signs around the construction site requesting that employees wear a Hard Hat when working in certain areas.

Certain areas on the construction site are more dangerous than others ands you will see signs that say Hard Hat Area-Put on Hard Hat-Hard Hat

Needed. Hard Hats are normally required to protect one's head or skull from being cracked or crushed by possible means of a fall or a wild runaway bolt, a screw, or wood that may have been dropped or ricocheted.

There are so many different things that could endanger one's life without being properly attired on any given construction site. You may wonder what does a natural construction site have to do with this? Well God Himself has us all on a construction site under construction for His Glory-but many of us are not reading, receiving or obeying the construction manual or taking heed to the warnings in the construction manual saying Hard hat Needed-Put on a Hard Hat or Cover your Head with a Hard Hat.

Proverbs 19:16...,"he who obeys instructions guards his life."

The Bible lets us know in Ephesians 4:22, You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness an holiness.

"Old things have passed away and behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17.

God has simply chosen, set apart, hand picked, summoned, selected by His divine will and purpose (you) as a people to be set apart, established and positioned to be ready to be trained and equipped as Kingdom Special Forces to be charged with the fire and the power of the Holy Spirit to beat the devil to a pulp to smash every demonic force to powdery dust and to hammer down every thought that wants to exalt itself against the work and the Kingdom of God.

We serve a God who spoke very clearly, directly, plainly and sensibly that He came to destroy the works of the devil. One may ask where does the work of the devil start? It always starts in the mind! The battlefield of the mind can be a mighty force to be reckoned with, a stumbling block to Kingdom servitude, a vicious beast constantly tearing at one's thoughts filling them with relentless quilt and shame-a constant enemy to your purpose and your destiny.

That's why the Apostle Paul wrote and admonished with great encouragement to put on the whole armor of God. He put it this way in Ephesians 6:11, "Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the devil.

  • Belt of Truth

  • Breastplate of Righteousness

  • Feet fitted with the Gospel of Peace

  • Shield of Faith

  • Helmet of Salvation

  • Sword of the Spirit-Word of God

The same way one needs to wear a Hard Hat on any natural construction site. We need to put on our Hard Hats and protect our minds as we are being, reconditioned, restored and reconstructed as mighty warriors in the Kingdom of God as Kingdom Special Forces.

During this process we are to stand firm, letting nothing move us. Always giving ourselves to the work of the Lord. Because "our labor is not in vain" (I Cor. 15:58).

The devil is always strategizing, plotting, scheming, devising, developing, planning and attempting to manipulate, control, deceive and destroy our minds.

It is in the mind where we wrestle in spiritual and carnal conflict. It is in the mind where we struggle with the desires of our flesh, creating a great wrestling match between our flesh and spirit. There are two opposing forces at work in you. The battle is designed to see who is going to win in the end. Whatever controls your mind controls you.

Paul said, But there is another law at work within me that is at war with my mind. This law wins the fight and makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 7:23-35 TLB).

For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God (Romans 8:6-7).
