Testimonial Monday

Grace and peace to all, from God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is an honor to share with you the goodness of the Lord and how even though we are going through a period in which no one could predict, God is still good.

There’s an old song that says, “I have something to praise God for, He brought me out of darkness into His marvelous light, I have something to praise God for.”

It is something to grow up in the Church, to be around the people of God but yet feel out of place. I allowed myself to be drawn away from the church to fulfill what I thought was best. But it was a life with a false future, that if it had not been for God, I would have been lost. I didn’t realize that the one I was clinging to was trying to kill me and the one I was rejecting was keeping me.

If we don’t allow the Spirit of God to come in, then another spirit will take control. When your mind has been taken over by the forces of darkness, you do not see yourself as you are. You don’t see yourself needing help. I thought I was fine, even though I was sleeping in an old dirty house when I didn’t have to. I was an alcoholic. I drank anything that would allow me to feel high. I would drink so much that my immune system wouldn’t let me get drunk and my mind would say keep drinking. Through it all, I was still being kept by the one I was running away from. When God has a purpose for your life, no matter how far you go away from Him, He can still turn your situation around. It’s like that old song. He was there all the time. The devil messed up when the prayers of the righteous prevailed and I began to think, “I don’t have stay away.” And when I had a little talk with Jesus, He delivered my soul from the torment that had me bound. That’s why now I can say, life now is sweet and my joy is complete! I am Saved, Saved, Saved!

So be encouraged. Never think you have gone so far out that there is no hope and you can’t be reached. God’s arms are not too short that He can’t rescue you. And no matter what you are going through now, what ever you are struggling with, there is help for you. There is peace for you in Him who is able to do the impossible. Trust Him, depend on Him, don’t doubt, and don’t fear because God is just a prayer away. Here is the whole key to defeating and overcoming everything that is going to come up against you. Ephesians 6:10, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. The key words are “HIS MIGHT”.

May the God of peace, mercy and grace comfort and strengthen you in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
